Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Standard: WCAG 2.2 AA / EN 301 549 / EU Accessibility Act 2025
Our commitment
Mignuti Chatbot is designed and continuously tested to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. The embeddable widget — which end-users interact with most — treats accessibility as a first-class product feature.
What we do
- Keyboard navigation: Full widget operation via Alt+C, Tab, Enter, Shift+Enter, Escape.
- Screen readers:
role="dialog",aria-modal="true". A separate polite live region announces “Typing …” and then the finished answer exactly once, instead of reading every single word. - Focus management: Focus trap inside the dialog, return-focus to launcher on close.
- Touch targets: Close button, suggestion and action chips at least 44 px tall. Exception: the cross that collapses the AI notice (24×24 px).
- Contrast: Text on the customer colour switches automatically between black and white to reach at least 4.5:1; the accent colour is adjusted for text and links where needed. The contrast of the launcher against the customer website depends on the customer’s colour choice.
- Motion: All animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Language:
The chat window carries the
langattribute of the widget language. Answers in another language do not yet carry their ownlangattribute. - Automated testing: axe-core checks the chat window in our automated test suite.
Known limitations
Charts on the analytics page currently lack a "view as table" toggle (planned for v0.5). Screen-reader users can export CSV in the meantime.
