Chatbot for higher education — study advice around the clock, from your own pages
The problem
A university or distance-learning provider has hundreds of programme pages, often behind a course finder with filters and page numbers. Prospective students ask about fees, admission, deadlines and the contact person for exactly one programme; enrolled students use the same words to ask about exam registration and re-enrolment. Add abbreviations like MAPS or KiSo that nobody outside your house knows. Whoever answers all that by phone and email has turned the study advice office into a call centre.
How Mignuti Chatbot solves it
The bot crawls your website including the course finder — the pages behind page numbers too — and answers from exactly the programme page in question: fees, admission requirements, deadlines, specialisations. If you want, it names the contact persons listed on that page instead of the switchboard, knows your abbreviations through a glossary, answers in the visitor's language and your form of address, with sources under every answer. What it cannot find, it says so — instead of making it up.
Questions it answers
- “What does the Social Work programme cost at your partner university?”
- “Which admission requirements do I need for the master's?”
- “Where can I study MAPS?”
- “Who is the contact person for admissions?”
- “Until when can I apply for the winter semester?”

FAQ
Our programmes sit behind a course finder with filters. Does the bot find them?
Yes. The crawler follows your sitemap and links, including the page numbers of a course finder, and skips filter combinations. In the page list you see every page it found, with status. If one is missing, you add it with one click and it stays pinned for every future crawl.
Does the bot name the right contact person for a programme?
If you want it to. You store central contact details, which the bot uses by default. With a switch it may additionally name the contact persons a programme page itself lists — for admissions or subject advice — with the direct line given there. People merely mentioned in the text, such as the academic lead, do not become contacts.
What about questions from enrolled students, such as exam registration?
For those you create Q&A pairs or upload regulations as PDFs. Prospective and enrolled students often ask questions that sound alike but need different answers; put the audience into the question. Under 'Open questions' the bot collects what it could not answer, with a suggested answer for you to approve.
Does the bot give binding admission advice?
No. It reproduces what your pages say, with a source, and refers individual cases to your advisory team. It makes no commitments and invents no deadlines or fees. If something is not in your sources, it says so — and never claims that something does not exist just because it did not find it.
