Chatbot for trades — service area, emergency callout, quotes — even when nobody can pick up the phone
The problem
The crew is on site, the phone rings in an empty office. Every missed call is a job that goes to the next firm: 'Do you cover my area?', 'What does a boiler check cost?', 'Do you do weekend callouts?'. In the evening there are twenty callbacks waiting, and the customer has long since found someone else.
How Mignuti Chatbot solves it
Upload your service area, trades, hourly rates and callout hours. The bot answers around the clock what would otherwise tie up the phone, and for everything else it takes down name, address and the job — delivered by email or Slack instead of an answering machine. Pricing stays at the level of a range: the bot quotes your hourly rate and callout fee, never a binding figure for work nobody has looked at.
Questions it answers
- “Do you cover my area?”
- “What does a boiler check cost?”
- “Do you offer weekend callouts?”
- “How fast can you get here for a burst pipe?”
- “Do you handle complete bathroom refits?”
- “Do you need a site visit before quoting?”

FAQ
Does the bot quote binding prices?
No, by design. It gives your hourly rate, callout fee and price ranges from your knowledge base — for anything specific it points to a site visit. A quote for work nobody has seen is a risk for you and a disappointment for the customer. If you want it stricter, add "fixed price" and "quote" to your blocked terms and the bot hands those questions straight over.
How does the bot know whether an address is in your service area?
From your knowledge base, not from a map. Write down the towns or postcodes you cover — for example "We work within 40 km of Koblenz: Andernach, Mayen, Neuwied, Bendorf …". The bot then answers concretely instead of vaguely. For places not on the list it says honestly that it does not know, and takes the enquiry.
What happens in a real emergency at three in the morning?
The bot is not an emergency service and does not pretend to be one. It gives your emergency number immediately and visibly — you enter it once under central contact details and it appears in every relevant answer. In parallel it records the address and the problem, so you already know the situation when you call back.
